Bicyclists vs. the IMF and World Bank - Caravan/Prague - Working Life

Bicyclists vs. the IMF and World Bank :

"The film is a first-hand account of a bicycle caravan -- with the theme, 'Money or Life' -- traveling 500 miles across Europe to join the historic Prague protests against the International Monetary Fund and World Bank. The intent is to create a mobile utopian community which will be a living counter-example to the values of these powerful financial institutions. The landscape is beautiful, and bicycles possess their own poetry. "

Escape from High-impact Travel

Carbusters Magazine - Magazine Issue 30:

"You are a traveler; those other schmucks are tourists. You and I know the difference. But guess what, all that travel has its costs. How do we reconcile our higher ideals with the reality that one airline trip equals a year of driving? It's a tough question and one which we address in this issue."

Minneapolis Videos on Trip advisor

Minneapolis Minneapolis Bicycling
Gives a bit of an idea of the isolation from traffic.

Uptown Minneapolis
Pretty good videography. I got a kick at how the young people are so full of themselves. Oh to be young and naive again!

Minneapolis Parks and Falls - great spots to visit on a bicycle any time of year.

Belted Kingfisher on the Big Sioux

Location: 210 Bird Circle on the far east point.

I love the way they announce their presence. For a real treat check out the birds of Sarah Rogers. She may not have the Kingfisher online just now but when you see her work, you will recognize her wonderful style that depicts birds as creatures that cannot be captured in s photo.
